This is a paid-for programme, and interns receive no salary. The fees for each ten week programme are currently £5000 plus VAT.
Commitment: Participants will be expected to work business hours and will sign a contract with the company.
Dates: The full unicornjobs.com internship and careers coaching programme ‘ term’ runs for 10 weeks, though shorter programmes are also available.
Location: unicornjobs.com is based on Shoreditch High Street, close to the City Of London, Hoxton and Spittafields. Participants will be expected to attend the company’s offices each weekday.
Entry requirements: This programme is open to anyone over the age of 18 who can demonstrate an ambition to learn, to work as part of the unicornjobs.com team, and to develop their personal skills for the benefit of their future career. Most participants are aged between 18 and 25.
We cannot guarantee a job at the end of the programme, but all interns receive extensive skills coaching and careers advice, and should leave the programme ready to find the right job and launch their career. unicornjobs.com management will provide all participants with references.
Interviews will take place in London. They will last between 20 and 30 minutes, and you will primarily be asked to expand on the answers you have given in your application form.
No. Just turn up with lots of energy and focus on what you want to get out of the programme. All course materials and equipment will be provided.
Participants will be expected to work business hours throughout the ten week programme. This means you should attend every day, though some exceptions can be made. You should speak to the programme administrator if you need to take time out.
There is no strict dress code at unicornjobs.com, but your dress should be appropriate to the work you’re doing on any one day. If you are interviewing someone in the City, perhaps for an article on ‘working in an investment bank’, then what you wear would be different than if you were interviewing someone in the music industry, for an article on ‘working at a record label’.
Fees will need to be paid before the programme commences. Details of how to pay will be provided upon acceptance onto the scheme.
unicornjobs.com is based on Shoreditch High Street in central London, so you will need to be living within commuting distance of central London, and be able to get to the office each day.
There will be up to 10 interns on each intake.
