Information for canditates
It's time for you to find a job. The heady days of the student union bar are already a distant memory and your bank manager wants to know how you're going to pay back that overdraft. Don't worry, we're here to help.
We understand that searching for your first job may be a bit daunting, a tad confusing and sometimes downright disheartening. That's why we offer so much advice and information elsewhere on the unicornjobs.com website, and inside our regular e-bulletin The Horn, to help you get started.
Meanwhile you will find information on the graduate jobs that we are currently recruiting for here in the jobs section of the website, with details of how to apply
The Job Application Process
When you apply for a role though Unicorn Jobs this is what happens:
- We read all the applications carefully and decide whether or not you have the right skills for the job
- Then we call all the suitable applicants in to meet one of the Unicorn Jobs team for an interview
- We then make a short list and send that to the hiring company who decide who they would like to meet
- We'll hold your hand through the interview process and let you know what you should expect
- We'll brief you on the company culture and what skills and experience they are looking for
- If you're the successful applicant and are offered the job, we'll help you to negotiate your salary and get a written offer to you
- It doesn't end there. Once you start your brand new job we'll keep in touch to make sure you're okay and your new colleagues haven't locked you in the stationery cupboard. That doesn't happen much by the way
- If you don't get offered the job, we'll give you feedback on why, coach you on doing better next time and keep an eye out for the right role for you
What We Do For Our Candidates
We're always happy to have a chat and we are realistic and honest. If you're not suitable for a position we will tell you why and what you can do about it. We won't push you into going for roles you're not interested in or suitable for. Instead, we will give you our honest opinion on how best to develop your career.
We will never talk to any of our clients about you or send out your CV without your permission. We want to build a long-term relationship with you and we won't do anything to jeopardise that.
