|HEATHER MCGREGOR Founder|
Heather founded Unicorn Jobs in 2007 as a sister company to Taylor Bennett, the communications search company she joined in 2000, and of which she is now principal shareholder.
Heather graduated from Newcastle University in 1984 and then worked in advertising and financial PR before joining an Anglo-Australian biotechnology company for five years doing their corporate communications and corporate finance. While there Heather studied for her MBA at the London Business School and, upon graduation, she joined ABN AMRO’s equities division as an investment analyst and worked, over an eight-year period, in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan.
Heather has a PhD in structural finance from the University of Hong Kong and is a visiting professor at Cass, City University Business School. She is also an experienced journalist and broadcaster, and regularly contributes to national newspapers, magazines, radio and television programmes, including the Mrs Moneypenny column in the Financial Times and ‘SuperScrimpers’ for Channel 4. As a Director at Taylor Bennett, she focuses on investor relations and senior communications appointments for public companies in Europe, and in specialist communications for financial services organisations.
Having founded Unicorn Jobs, Heather continues to be involved in the development of the company, in particular overseeing financial management.
