The Unicorn team are experienced recruiters with specialist knowledge of PR, Corporate Communications and Investor Relations. Unicorn consultants work closely together on all assignments, so that employers have access to each team member’s network, and candidates will be made aware of all the roles that are relevant to their skills and experience.

The Unicorn team also work closely with their colleagues at Taylor Bennett, meaning that as candidates reach a more senior point in their careers, they can be introduced to researchers and consultants elsewhere in the Taylor Bennett Group, putting them on the radar for senior FTSE 100 and international in-house positions.

Unicorn Jobs was founded in 2007 by Heather McGregor as a sister company to Taylor Bennett, the executive search business she joined in 2000, and of which she is now principal shareholder. Unicorn complements Taylor Bennett by filling mid level roles. Heather continues to be involved in the development of the company in addition to her work as a director of Taylor Bennett. She is also an experienced journalist and broadcaster, and regularly contributes to national newspapers, magazines, radio and television programmes, including the Mrs Moneypenny column in the Financial Times and ‘SuperScrimpers’ for Channel 4.

The Unicorn team is led by the Senior Consultant, Annabelle Wheeler and is supported by Chloe Dunderdale. Combined they have almost 15 years experience in PR, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications recruitment.

Annabelle Wheeler is the Senior Consultant at Unicorn Jobs and joined in 2014.  She has over nine years’ recruitment experience for communications roles for both in-house and agency.

Before joining Unicorn, Annabelle worked for an executive search firm where she focused on various communications roles with prominent clients. In her previous position, she supported the Head of Search on executive searches before joining another consultancy as a Consultant.

As the Senior Consultant at Unicorn, she works on various appointments within corporate communications, investor relations, media relations and internal communications across all sectors as well as international assignments.

Annabelle brings a wealth of expertise along with a strong communications network, and firmly believes in the personal touch and delivering outstanding service to client and candidate alike. She read History of Art at University of York.

Chloe Dunderdale joined Unicorn in January 2015 from our sister company, Taylor Bennett. Chloe works across various functions including media relations, investor relations and internal communications, and tends focuses on the mid-level market in communications; specifically candidates who are looking to take the next step up their career ladder.

In addition, Chloe provides research and support to her senior consultant and team. She is a graduate from the American University of Paris with a BA in Art History and Visual Culture.  She has lived in Singapore, New York and London, giving her a strong understanding of the international market and network.
